The hourglass is a flagship of the Venini collections, made with the incalmo technique in the highest quality Murano glass, an icon of Italian handmade in the world.
the method consists in hot coupling two blown shapes along their circumference, so as to obtain in the same object the suggestive meeting of differentiated and, usually, different colored areas.
Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini imprinted it on the Clessidra in 1957. In perfect balance between two different colours, the sand passes through the slender glass puffs, generated with the Incalmo technique, taking on its color and becoming part of it.
The Venini hourglass is available in two colours: Amber/Orizzonte and Rosso/Ambra.
