The hourglass is a flagship of the Venini collections, made with the most high quality Murano glass incalmo technique, an icon of the Italian hand made in the world.
The Incalmo consists in hot pairing two forms blown along their circumference, so as to obtain in the same object the suggestive encounter of differentiated areas and, usually, of different color.
Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini impressed it in the hourglass in 1957. In perfect balance between two different colors, the sand crosses the slender glass puffs, generated with the Incalmo technique, taking on the color and becoming part of it.
Clessidra Venini is available in two colors: amber/horizon and red/amber.
