- Red panda with cub
The mother Red Panda keeps her cub close to her on a branch in the treetops, and builds several nests for the two to stay close until the cub becomes old enough to leave the nest. The Mother's Day plate has been issued annually since 1969. In subsequent years, artist Allan Therkelsen created the motif which is, as always, depicted in the beautiful blue colors of the underglaze
