It seems soft, yet it is glass. The optical illusion of VENINI's 1970 Monofiori is in its name: Balloton, the unique process that recreates the matelassé effect on the surface. The work is handmade, blown into the characteristic metal mold and finished in the thin neck with a hot-applied colored thread, which varies in color.
The Balloton vase represents a Venini icon, one of the company's best-selling vases in the world.
