The annual Royal Copenhagen collections have been created every year since 1908. The relief of the decoration is elaborated by hand by the most skilled artists, starting from the creator's drawing and subsequently modeled according to artisan traditions that have been handed down over the years.
This subject was designed and sculpted by Allan Therkelsen.

This year's annual collector's plate motif depicts a flock of sheep walking through a Danish forest. The shepherd carries a tired lamb in his arms as he stops to admire an ancient Viking monument.
