Alessi centenary - Bulbul Bulbul Bullir AC100
The kettle Bulbul is a project designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1995 and so far remained unpublished.
A unique and rare object proposed by Alessi for the Special Centenary series, a selection of unpublished objects, collector or numbered edition designed by the masters of Italian design.
Bulbul is composed of a large container with stainless steel lid and a bottom suitable for all cooking floors, it is imagined starting from the rounded shape of a curling stone that slips on the kitchen surface: from frozen to the evaporated one, A divertissement amplified by the same name chosen by Castiglioni, which derives from the exclamation "Bul, Bul", that is, "bubbles, bubbles" in the traditional Milanese dialect.
The result of his tireless predisposition to curiosity and experimentation, Bulbul expresses Castiglioni's extraordinary ability to translato a quality and functions taken from objects belonging to completely different areas into a project. A game of transfers that often gave birth to the equally famous ironic dimension of many of his works.
