Alessi Centenary - Bulbul AC100 kettle
The kettle Bulbul is a project designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1995 and so far unpublished.
A unique and rare object proposed by Alessi for the special centenary series, a selection of unpublished objects, from collectors or numbered edition designed by the Italian design masters.
Bulbul is composed of a large container with a stainless steel lid and a suitable bottom to all cooking planes, it is imagined starting from the rounded shape of a curling stone that slides on the kitchen floor: from frozen water to that evaporated, A divertissement amplified by the same name chosen by Castiglioni, which derives from the exclamation "BUL, BUL", that is "bubbles, bubbles" in the traditional Milanese dialect.
The result of its tireless predisposition to curiosity and experimentation, Bulbul expresses the extraordinary capacity of Castiglioni to translate in a quality project and functions drawn from objects belonging to completely different areas. A game of transfers that often gave life to the equally famous ironic dimension of many of him.
