Venini - Opalino 706.22 Height 36 cm

The opal vase of Venini is presented in refined colors, made unique by the ancient and complex processing of the lattimo glass, born in the fifteenth century to imitate the porcelain and resumed from the experiments of the furnace.

The opal vase was born in 1932 from the mind of Paolo Venini, graceful in the tones as in form.

The Opalino Vase 706.22 has a height of 36 cm and a Max diamond of 17 cm.

Its shapes are sinuous and soft, thanks to the folds that recall those of the fabrics, the color of the vase comes to life between spaces of light and shadows. A very elegant object known all over the world as a masterpiece of Made in Italy excellence.

The wide chromatic range created by Venini has no equal throughout Murano and is today an invaluable heritage.

Each of the 125 colors starts from a specific recipe and translates into a variety of shades in constant evolution. The fantasy that guides the search for new shades is also reflected in the choice names: straw, grass green, horizon, aquare, grapes, Adriatic, tea, amber and night yellow are just some of the exclusive and evocative colors of Venini, inspired by Venice and from nature.

The glass is mainly composed of pure siliceous sand and metal oxides, of which the variable combination determines colors and intensity very different from each other.

During the evening this mixture is merged with very high temperatures in containers inside the ovens, technically called crucible. Here the minerals are transformed into hot magma with a precise color. The cooking of the glass lasts all night, with the oven that blends the raw materials at a temperature of about 1,400 degrees. At dawn, the melted material is ready for the modeling of the glass windows.

It is not only the furnace that determines the color of the glass, even the temperature and external humidity of the environment, in addition to the genre of cooking, can affect shades and shades.
The change enriches the single chromatic variant with further uniqueness, making each work even more exclusive.
