A BIT OF HISTORY

The Royal Copenhagen & Bing & Grondahl production were founded in 1775 by Frantz Heinrich Müller, a pharmacist who had obtained the privilege for the manufacture of these porcelain under the protection of Regina Giuliana Maria by Brunswick-Lüneburg.

The Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl Fabbrica online remained in the city of Copenhagen until 1801, the raw materials for their productions were imported from the town of Bordeaux.

Their porcelains immediately oriented with decorations in cobalt blue, taking almost totally inspiration from the beautiful Chinese porcelains that depopulated in the distant East.

Despite the first Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl productions they were for a prevalence decorated with the famous cobalt blue, one of the most famous services of the first period was the flora Danica (designed by Johann Christoph Bayer in 1790), on which enamels from different colors were used And gold.

Over the years the company began to disseminate its collectible porcelains around the world, becoming a reference company for decorative porcelain collectors and hand-painted furnishing figures undermalt.

Since 1908 the company began to present the pieces of annual or Christmas collections in Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl.

Feeding the Birds - Feed the birds

The plate is the smallest dish of the Royal Copenhagen collection series, with its 8 cm of a diameter is easily placed even in reduced spaces, a wonderful thumbnail that has had its success immediately. This year's decor enters romantically in the world of childhood and nature. While winter darkness causes the neighborhood, the children wear their warm clothes and come out with some sweets for hungry birds. And the birds appreciate the gesture, since food is scarce in the snowy winter landscape of Denmark. This is the charming reason for this year's Royal Copenhagen license plate.
